Honesty

my country had just done the election for the next five years president. for more than 7 months, there are lot of wars coming from both parties, the supporters particularly. oh, even until now i guess, the day after the election. the winner hasn't been decided yet by the KPU. i think the citizen needs to wait until april 21 or 22? i don't know. i just don't really care.

oh, does it sound like i'm not an obedient citizen? no, that's not what i mean. i'll explain and you'll know why.

i actually didn't really pay attention to the election hype since i'm so not into politics. then when i watched the second round of presidential candidates debate, i found an enlightenment. they both are totally the same. yes, Indonesia had only two presidential candidates.

at first, i prefer one of them since from what i see, he had done things pretty well so far. but, on the debate, when the question was about human rights, if i'm not mistaken it was about how to deal with it. he said something contrary with the incidences occurred for the current years. i was a bit taken aback. i mean lot of Indonesians know what happens with human rights values here. he also said similar things about the environment. i was like "oh okay i can't belive in him no more". i mean if he said the truth, and he admitted his lacks, i would totally go for him, bc at least he knew what's going on, he doesn't try to cover it, but instead, he did the opposite. oh, i was so disappointed.

for the other one, i had a feeling if he wasn't qualified enough, from the facts that everyone already knew as well. i can say it has been like a permanent prejudice for me, like i couldn't find a single thing that can help me to support him. well, we or me, haven't seen his works, or have we? he didn't get a chance to. i reckon that happened bc of that fact. well, we don't know whether it is a fact or just...? it's difficult to find the right one. but you know, if people always voice that matter without an end, i think it's something that really needs to be questioned: is it true? why is there no clarification given? or instead, it didn't happen?

oh, i have no idea what did i just type.

and days ago, several days before the election, there is a sudden documentary film appeared and confounded the cyberspace. people suddenly wanted to be abstention bc they no longer believe in both parties.

i wasn't really shocked when i saw it. i told you the reason before, huh? they're indeed untrustworthy. well, everyone is.

i abstained on that day. that's not bc i wanted to, but my name wasn't on the DPT list so i had no choice. i was afraid actually, just in case my voice is being used by the unauthorized people, i'm sure it is.

even if i got to elect, i would vote for both of them, at least my ballot paper would not be used and i've given my voice. but, yeah it's in the past already.

hopefully, whoever the winner is, they would give all of them on the citizen behalf, talk less do more. that's what Indonesian really need.
